Blow Molding

The process of blow molding includes extrusion blow molding and injection blow molding two main blow molding methods.

The tubular plastic billet obtained by extrusion or injection molding of thermoplastic resin is placed in a split die while hot (or heated to a softening state), and compressed air is passed into the billet immediately after the mold is closed, so that the plastic billet is blown and close to the inner wall of the mold.

After cooling and demoulding, various hollow products are obtained. Blow molding is a molding process used to produce hollow thin-walled parts from thermoplastic materials. The typical products are large volume final consumer goods, such as bottles and containers. At present in the production of the largest amount of plastic varieties are PE, PP, PVC.
